Also known as a boater, this summer favorite is crafted from fine Polish wool and features a classic straight crown and flat brim.

The wooden lasts we use are designed to fit the Japanese head.

*The head shape of Westerners is long and vertical, while that of Japanese people is more circular.

It may be a little hard to tell from the camera angle, but there are various oval shapes. The Slim is an irregular shape specially made for an American customer of ours, but it is quite narrow and long.

This is a rough interpretation, but narrower hats look sharper and better, while wider ones look a bit chubby but fit better for Japanese people. This is one of the reasons why hats look cool when worn overseas, isn't it?

If you are told that your hat looks like it is sitting on your face or doesn't suit you, it is likely that you are wearing a hat that does not fit your face. If a straight brim wavy when displayed, it may be because the size or oval shape is not right.

Our boater hat lasts are semi-wide, which is a good compromise between appearance and fit.

The boater hats we make are a classic style that stands up straight and is shallow, so we recommend wearing them straight, not at an angle to the front or back. Wearing them at an angle to the left or right also looks cool.
